CA Foundation Course
CA Foundation is the first level of the Chartered Accountancy course offered by ICAI. It is designed to test a student’s understanding of Accounting related to various business, Business Laws for understanding of different laws, Quantitative aptitude to learn techniques used in finance and audit, and Business economics for decision making.
It builds the base for higher levels (Intermediate and Final) by developing conceptual clarity and analytical ability.
This level is suitable for students right after Class 12 who want to begin their journey toward becoming a Chartered Accountant, this takes 4 to 5 months of intensive preparation.
01.Accounting - 100 marks subjective ie written paper. Students will get 3 hours for solving and 15 minutes reading time additional. Paper starts at 13:45 ist and ends at 17:00 ist. Students are required to have a good command on solving and wrting skills to ensure completing paper on time with accuracy.

02.Business Laws - 100 marks subjective ie written paper. Students will get 3 hours for solving and 15 minutes reading time additional. Paper starts at 13:45 ist and ends at 17:00 ist. Students are required to have a good command on language used in law and speed to present in the 3 hours.

03.Quantitative Aptitude- 100 marks objective i.e mcq based paper. Students will get 2 hours for solving and no reading time will be provided. Paper starts at 14:00 ist and ends at 16:00 ist. Students are required to focus on speed and most important factor accuracy.

04.Business Economics-100 marks objective i.e mcq based paper. Students will get 2 hours for solving and no reading time will be provided. Paper starts at 14:00 ist and ends at 16:00 ist. Students are required to focus on speed and most important factor accuracy.​

Paper 1 & 2 will be 100% writing (No mcqs are aksed)

Advance reading time of 15 mins (13:45 ist to 14:00) provided only for paper 1 & 2

For paper 3 & 4 each correct answer rewards for 1 mark and 1 wrong answer selected will deduct 0.25 marks for each wrong answer marked from the total one (Eg 5 question 1 right, 4 wrong results to 0 marks as 1mark rewarded but (0.25*4) will deduct 1 mark.​

Answer of paper 3 & 4 has to be darken in round circle on OMR sheet provided by ICAI by HB Light Pencil.
Passing Criteria as per ICAI
Passing criteria for each paper individually is 40% and total criteria for passing is 50% ie 200 marks.
Even if a student qualifies individual paper but is unable to reach a total of 50% i.e 200, will be considered as unsuccessful as per rules.​
